Rithmic prop firms: common questions

What is Rithmic?

A futures market data and order routing service. Prop firms use it to connect accounts to the exchanges, and traders reach it either through Rithmic's own R|Trader Pro or through platforms that connect to Rithmic, such as NinjaTrader, Quantower, Sierra Chart and ATAS.

Which platform do I trade on with a Rithmic account?

Any platform the firm supports on its Rithmic connection. R|Trader Pro comes with it; others like NinjaTrader or Quantower may need their own licence unless the firm provides one. Each firm's page lists the platforms it offers.

Is a Rithmic account better than a Tradovate account for a challenge?

Neither decides whether you pass - the firm's rules do. Rithmic is often chosen for its data and its wide platform support, Tradovate for running in the browser with nothing to install. Some firms offer both and let you pick at checkout.
