NinjaTrader prop firms: common questions

What is NinjaTrader?

A futures trading platform for desktop, web and mobile, popular for charting, order flow tools and automated strategies written in NinjaScript (C#). Many futures prop firms include a NinjaTrader licence with their accounts.

Do I have to pay for NinjaTrader to use it with a prop firm?

Usually not for the platform itself: firms that offer NinjaTrader typically provide the licence for their accounts. Market data and any third-party add-ons can still cost extra - check the platform fees listed on each firm's page.

Can I run automated NinjaScript strategies on a funded account?

The platform supports them; the firm decides whether you may. Some futures firms allow automation, others restrict it or ban specific behaviour such as high-frequency trading. The rules are listed for each challenge.
